We took Edward to the Valler River Mall on Friday evening, as much as an outing for ourselves as for him. This is the Build-A-Bear Workshop, though we didn't actually build one, we were just scouting. The Bears start around $16, but there are all sorts of outfits and accessories to make it cost a fortune. They do other animals too.
Ed was taking everything in, staying awake and alert throughout most of the trip, and apparently enjoying it all, though here he looks more concerned than happy here. That little dot under his right eye is a scratch from his fingernails. These little nicks heal up in a day or two.
This was probably the reason for the concerned look, and Beth performed a back-of-car diaper change in Fred Meyer's parking lot. The air was cooler, so we shut the back down to ward off unpleasant breezes.
Fred Meyer had a lot of children's clothing sale items on clearance, i.e. they were reduced twice to about 40% of the original price. We dug through and selected a few outfits for Ed to grow into. I call him my little monkey, so monkeys are always a good choice (N.B. Curious George, billed as The Curious Monkey, is NOT a monkey, he has no tail. Just saying)
I liked the airplane schematic, I'm interested in cars (especially the history of them in America), and dinosaurs are almost always a hit with little boys. We were particularly pleased with the Ed's Hot Rod Shop tank top, which can go over a onesie for extra warmth.
Another good dino one. If this kid doesn't grow up to enjoy dinosaurs it won't be for my lack of trying.
Another Ed's tank top, this one a bigger size. Beth chose the frog and monster tops. Our creek full of frogs (still croaking away every night) makes us fond of frogs generally, and we try to be green too.
Motherhood agrees with you Beth. I love your face in the mirror as much as Ed's :)
