We're very glad that Little Fish did not arrive today, which was certainly a possibility for a 1st child with an official due date of 26th March. Not only would Edward have been the victim of pranks all his life, but his Birthday would have been overshadowed by the day's other events, and the possibility for confusion with the written date 04/01/2012 (is that the First of April or Fourth of January?) was looming over us.
Beth was hoping for an 04/04 delivery, to mirror our 02/02 Wedding Anniversary, but 03/23/2012 has a nice ring to it, and there's no room for confusion for people who write the day before the month (the sensible way) or the month before the date (the American way).
Ed's rash is easing off now, and we've been busily washing everything he will wear for the next three months in preparation for a retry on non-swaddle clothing.
