Two nights ago, during a middle-of-the-night fuss and cuddle, Eddie discovered that he could suck on my chin. I hadn't intended for that to happen; I was in the process of repositioning him prior to nursing, and his mouth brushed my chin, and suddenly he was sucking on it! I was impressed at the suction he achieved, and tried not to giggle too loudly and wake up Martin. After maybe ten seconds Ed realised that this was no way to get a proper meal, and let go. It was very funny.
Yesterday I didn't have a chance to look in a mirror till midday, and discovered a small red patch on my chin right where he had sucked. It's not a zit, isn't raised, and doesn't hurt. I think Edward has given me my first hickey!
