We currently have our last house guest of the Summer staying in my computer room so it's been difficult to get a blog post done.
Ed hit 16lbs yesterday, double birth weight, and is a very solid chunk of baby. Strangers who see him are surprised he's only 3 and a bit months old.
In the last couple of days he's learnt to suck in his lower lip and make interesting noises, and he's been blowing bubbles for a while. His hair is starting to show darker again; we both notice it's growing.
Then yesterday he flipped from back to front for the first observable time. Right arm got stuck underneath for a while, but he sorted that out. After a few minutes he starting whining so I flipped him onto his back, and before long he was on his front again. This is now his big trick, and he can lift his head up well but hasn't got the arm strength to lift his shoulders much. His chunkiness is certainly a hinderance for that, but it'll come soon enough. For now he requires close monitoring all his waking hours so he doesn't get upset being on his front too long.
