Nevertheless I did a LOT of driving in those 10 days, much of it with Edward in his car seat in the back. He's been a trooper with all the different visitors and distractions, but now we're settled down again to just the three of us for the forseeable future.
This past weekend was dedicated to Edward, and on Saturday afternoon we took him to a local public outdoor paddling pool. Adults are not allowed to do more than sit on the edge with their feet in the pool, so we were restricted in what we could do with him, but next year this'll be a great resource. It's open for three or so hours every afternoon, free to go in, and has two lifeguards on duty too.
We also have a paddling pool for our own garden, so we've used that a couple of times to get him used to the water.
He takes all this water time in his stride as usual.
