One couple had their daughter Clara a few weeks before us, the other had their son Casen a week after us, so it was interesting to compare the development of the three babies. Clara was three weeks overdue, and a homebirth with the same midwife, while Casen was pretty much right on time in a hospital. Clara has more head control and was enjoying the playmat, so we can expect Edward to show those developments soon.

It's hard to say if the babies were aware of each others' presence. Edward slept for the first hour, then gave his usual single sqwark of disapproval at having to wake up, but was then pretty quiet. He had a couple of potty breaks during the reunion, and everyone was impressed, dubious or inscrutable at his ability to use a potty. Clara and Casen cried as must be expected (strange voices, faces and environment) but didn't seem to be setting each other off. Both mentors had a while holding each of the babies, as they adore babies.
