Video updates

(Remember, if you're receiving this update in email, you need to click the link in the email before you will be able to see the videos.  The link might be the title "Video Updates"; I don't remember exactly how it's shown)

Update #1: Dominic Can Walk

This is Dominic on July 4th.  As posted previously, he took his first independent, uncoaxed steps on June 28th.  It's now July 13th and he is walking all over the place, all casual as if he'd done it for ages.  Eddies loves to "help" him walk, but their speeds don't quite mesh so it usually results in Dominic falling over.

Update #2: Outdoor Vehicular Play

Long time readers may recognize this little red car, which Eddie spent many happy days on.  It's a bit the worse for wear now, having been left outside an inordinate number of times, but still works for its purpose - safe conveyance of the pre- or proto-walking child.

We also have another little red car:

This one has increased risks and increased rewards for the rider, and Dominic loves it.  I had to pry his hands off of it after this ride, which went on for several minutes longer than the video.  We tried putting shoes on him, by the way, but they just made his feet drag backwards which was less safe as it tilted his weight forward.

Update #3: A few of Dominic's Favourite Things

The Trampoline:

The only reason he ever gets out of this thing is to practice getting into it again.

The Dishwasher:

The only reason he ever gets out of this thing is because we keep taking him out of it.  We can't convince him to stop climbing onto the dishwasher, but the sound effects he has added to the drawer are hilarious. He makes similar sounds when he is falling asleep.

 Things That Move:

Perhaps not quite a Favourite Thing, as this is one of about five times he's played with it, but it's representative of a class of things - things that change when he does something.  He particularly likes the remote control for the television, which lights up when a particular button is pressed, and the remotes for our movable bed, which lights up when you press anything, and half the buttons also trigger the (unwanted) massage function.  I am still tempted to cut the wires to that part.
