Pumpkins

Pumpkin season is here, and the local pumpkin farms have fields full of pumpkins where you can go out and choose your own.

Survey the field carefully, there are few perfect pumpkins to be had.

Having made your selection, be careful lifting it. 

Stack your pumpkin with a few others, to be sure you got the best one.

Some pumpkins are tall and thin.

Pumpkins are sometimes pre-picked and laid out in rows to ripen.

Others may be stacked in a wagon to attract the attention of passing motorists.

Once you are sure you have the right pumpkin, it needs to be weighed

and carried home, very carefully
