200 Days and sort of scooting?

While Edward is still not quite crawling, he is definitely making progress around the floor through a combination of front-to-back & back-to-front rolling, and getting from a lying position into a semi-sitting position, and generally wiggling about.

Teething still bothers him, judging from the number of times he sticks his fingers in his mouth, but he's not drooling nearly as much as he used to. Indeed the baseball player outfit he has on today is the same one he wore yesterday, and all last night, without drool or other mishap.

He's sampling solid foods now to add variety to his breast milk diet. Applesauce, bananas, pears, carrots and soon green beans, all in the mushed to a pulp variety, but also sticks of apple, pear and carrot to play with and drop on the floor when he's bored. He's limited to one new food every few days to see if he has any bad reactions - none so far.

Swimming classes are over for now, so today I'll be taking him to Baby Connections again for the first time in six weeks. Two big outings in one day is too much for his patience.

When he gets to crawling and we need to contain him, we have this playpen set up in the front room. it comprises eight panels, so a 2x2 square makes a good-sized area that a parent can get into with him.
