It's been one hundred days since Eddie's ear tube surgery. At that time, she had maybe a dozen words and relied primarily on sign language. She thought cats said "Yow" - the "mee" sound was probably too quiet for her to be able to hear.
Now, we've lost track of how many words she knows. She can count forward to 12 and backward from 10 to zero. She sings the ABC song, says hi to people (especially to baby), and sings along, albeit incomprehensibly, to the fast-paced Curious George theme song.
I asked her to sing the ABC song on video - this is what I got:
Transcribed, she says:
”..D, E, F, G…”
“Upside down!”
“Cereal upside down!” (on the floor)
“Cat! Meow!”
“Uh oh…oh, no.”
“Cereal, milk!”
(whispers ABC song, including the two lines at the end of the song)
“Oh, cereal!”
“More cereal.”
“Oh, no - balloon.”
“Balloon. Stick. Sticking to the table.”
“Upside down.”
“More cereal. Please Mama? More cereal please mama?”
“Milk.”
“Thank you!”
