March 14th

Eddie has had her ear tubes since 3rd March, and we're seeing a very clear increase in her general chatter, use of words she already knows, and repetition of words she hears around her. The tubes are clearly doing their work, and I only wish we had known of the operation and had this done sooner. Did our pediatrician let us (and worse, Eddie) down, by not being more pro-active sooner? Our feeling is yes.

Dominic continues to be a little ray of sunshine, and is very, very close to crawling. The closer he gets the more frustrated he seems to be that he's not there yet, unfortunately, and it is a delicate judgement to decide when to pick him up and stop his unhappiness, and when to let him continue his practice and exploration.

On Friday evening we went to a consignment sale and got some 5T tops for Eddie, which she can wear as the weather warms up. 4T items are snug on her, and all 3T and smaller are set aside for Dominic, who at 7 months is wearing a mix of 12 and 18 month clothing.
