Cruisin'

In the last couple of weeks, having mastered crawling, Edward has been showing a tendancy to pull himself up into a stand, if suitable things are around to pull up or lean on.

Last night (Friday) he went a stage further and started some mini-cruising, so today we went to a late-season garage sale and got him a play table.

 
We've installed this in the front room in place of the coffee table. This is one of three designated play areas round the house, the others being upstairs now we have a stair gate, and the family room, though really it's just upstairs and downstairs now he's so mobile. For now the train table is just a table at a convenient height for him to cruise round, but it also came with a full train set. The top is reversible ad has a landscape on the other side, so when he's ready for creative play with cars and trains we can flip it over and set up the railway.
