This time we've received four bags of baby clothes totalling over 100 items, ranging from 12 months (which fit Edward now) through to 4T, including tops, trousers, onesies, hats, a couple of baby towels and even a coat.
I'm not going to name the colleage for fear of embarrassing her, but suffice to say we are extremely grateful. If we bought all this at consignment sales or charity shops we'd be spending at least $400, and when new it must've cost over $1,000. There is a lively market in second hand baby clothes in Eugene because babies grow out of things so quickly, and all these clothes look as good as new.
If you see a picture of Edward wearing clothes over the next 3-4 years, chances are they came from this bonanza, or previous clothes gifts we received from another of Beth's colleagues. Only about 10% of Edward's wardrobe comprises things we bought ourselves.
